ABOUT

Welcome to my blog!

It all started as a senior project while I was in high school. Then a potential English major, I decided to attempt to write a collection of short stories. However, I soon realized I possess little interest in the realm of fiction. I prefer to read, analyze, edit, and argue with my writing. The mediums for this type of writing mostly consist of journaling, and keeping a personal journal is a tedious task with little reward.

So I started a blog.

Originally, this blog was book-inspired, and I completed a 52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge while contemplating my life, faith, and travels within a literary lens. But after my first semester at Loyola Marymount University, I realized that this kind of whimsical self-reflection yearns to be built upon, and I decided to change the focus of my blog.

Once a nerdy college student with an unending desire for adventure and change, I now approach every day as a school day, even though I have graduated. Whether it be through books, performing as a dancer, or writing my blog, I am always learning. I am, and always will be, a polyliteramore, a lover of books and a lover of the art written word. But I firmly believe I can implement my love of literature and dance in a way that addresses the injustice so prevalent in our world today.

I write about gratitude, issues of injustice, travelling the world, and of course, books. All of my posts can be accessed in the sidebar menu under these various labels and through my blog archive.

Not sure where to start? If you want a recommendation, my favorite posts that I have written include Making Space, Only Us, and The Great Perhaps.

Be sure to check out my various social media accounts in the sidebar.

You can also subscribe to my posts by email. No worries about spam; you will only receive emails when I update!
