Easy Overnight Oats

With early school mornings, I am always on the lookout for quick and easy breakfast ideas. My favorite trend is overnight oats, and this is the easiest recipe I have found. As an added bonus, it is highly customizable!

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup skim milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey
Add oats to a jar or container and pour in milk. Mix in vanilla extract, chia seeds, and cinnamon. Place in fridge the night before and eat the next day! Makes 2 servings.

The above recipe is pretty plain, so feel free to add some toppings.

Toppings:
  • banana
  • blueberries
  • strawberries
  • dried fruit
  • peanut butter
  • jelly
  • coconut
  • chocolate chips
